Pirates of Penzance

The Minerva Stage is holding additional auditions for The Pirates of Penzance Monday, June 25th, and Wednesday, June 27th, and Monday July 2nd starting at 8 pm all nights. A cast of 20+ people is needed, strong singers ages 16 and up. Auditioners are asked to prepare a 30-second acapella piece to sing, and should wear comfortable clothing that allows free movement. Anyone interested in auditioning… should show up on time, right at 6pm or earlier, as vocal warm-ups will begin promptly.

The Pirates of Penzance is a comedic operetta set on the shores of Cornwall. Such characters as a band of pirates, a bevy of beautiful young ladies, a troop of policemen, a retired Major-General, among many others, get up to hilarious hijinks, and sing some beautifully-scored music. The performances of this show will be the first and second weekends of August.

Auditions will be held at 69 Union Street, North Adams. Several roles in the production crew still need to be filled.
